The California Apprenticeship Coordinators Association represents California unions that provide apprenticeship training and education preparation for a career in the trades. Individuals in a registered apprenticeship earn money while they learn the trade skills. Full-time employment with career placement is built into the program.

The California Student Aid Commission goal is to make education beyond high school financially accessible to all Californians. In the upcoming 2017-18 academic year, CSAC has $2.2 billion for Cal Grant awards and $117 million for Middle Class Scholarships. Beginning October 1, 2016, Cash For College workshops provide hands-on assistance for low-income to middle-income students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). Application must be submitted before the March 2nd deadline each year.

*Missed the March 2 deadline? There is a second deadline, only for California Community College students, September 2, 2017. Submit the required forms before the September 2 deadline to be considered for this specific Cal Grant. There is a limited number of September Cal Grants available.

SEI’s education program, Energize Schools, provides project-based curriculum and support to implement conservation and education projects in high schools

Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Inc. PG&E is committed to cultivating a green energy efficiency workforce. The Workforce Education and Training Program (WE&T) was established to support the State’s Energy Efficiency goals, the California Long Term Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan, and the individual programs of the investor owned utility companies throughout the state. WE&T is a cross-cutting program that offers Career and Workforce Readiness and Integrated Clean Energy Education & Training programs.
